How long does it take to receive a US entry waiver? The application process for a US entry waiver can take from six to 18 months depending on its complexity.

You will not be permitted to travel to the U.S. until you have applied for ESTA again, using correct information, and receive authorization. If your application is rejected due to an error in entering information, do not panic; wait at least 24 hours and then apply for ESTA again.
CBP advises it may take 72 hours to process a given ESTA application. However, because of real-time processing, more than 90% of ESTA applicants get a decision within minutes of submission. The majority of applicants have no need to worry about speeding up the application process.
If your application was refused, you should not travel to Canada. If you try to travel to Canada with a refused eTA, you will be prevented from boarding your flight. We encourage you to reapply for an eTA only once you have addressed the reason(s) leading to the refusal of your application.
Applying for an eTA is a simple online process that takes just a few minutes to complete. Most applicants get their eTA approval (via an email) within minutes. However, some requests can take several days to process if you're asked to submit supporting documents.
The fastest way to get a US waiver is to work with a lawyer with access to the electronic filing system controlled by the US Customs and Border Protection agency. This system is called the e-SAFE system. If you hire a service, ask if they have direct access to the e-SAFE system and if they are a licensed lawyer.
If I Am Denied Entry to the USA, Can I Try Again? Yes, if you are denied entry into the United States, you can try to re-enter by applying for a Waiver of Inadmissibility. These waivers, which can be valid for up to five years in some cases, can allow you to enter the United States even if you are ineligible.
A USA Entry Waiver application can be denied for many reasons, such as: the application was not completed properly; the processing fee was not paid; all necessary supporting documents were not provided; or the applicant did not show sufficient rehabilitation.
